I still remember buying my first DV camera to shoot skateboarding videos with my friends…
Over 20 years, a degree in digital film and animation, over 300 projects as well as several self-built server rooms, edit and grading suites later, the same magic I felt then still exists today.
How did that happen?
I started doing a lot of camera, editing and graphic design work before gently being pushed into the world of production, post production and VFX during my studies at the SAE Institute in Leipzig.
A film workshop took me to Los Angeles in 2007 – giving me the perfect opportunity to gather real, hand-on experience in VFX production. During my time at New Deal Studios I worked on such projects as THE DARK KNIGHT and IRON MAN.
Having swapped blue skies and palm trees for Berlin’s grey winters and bratwurst, I completed my studies in 2010. Since then, alongside work as a digital artist on various projects, I have worked as a post-production and VFX producer for clients such as BWGTBLD GmbH, Spingun Media, Bonaparte Films, A.F Studio, bEPIC, IT’S US PLUS, congaz Creative Media Production, Rekorder Film and Interaction, omstudios, RISE Visual Effects, CineChromatix, CinePostproduction, The Post Republic or Cat and Weasel Films.
And I look forward to doing more so in the future!
